Mississippi State looks to level the series against LSU with some rain in the evening forecast.

BATON ROUGE - Mississippi State (16-10, 1-6 SEC) will take on #5 LSU (24-3, 5-2 SEC) this evening. First pitch is set for 6:30 PM CT. The game can be streamed on the ESPN App and heard through the regular Bulldog Baseball radio network affiliates.
The Diamond Dawgs had the chance to take control of the series last night, but failed to score in the final four innings and fell 8-6. State had a 6-2 lead in the 5th inning and it was all LSU from there.
Tonight, Mississippi State will send ace LHP Pico Kohn (4-0, 2.52 ERA) to the mound. Kohn has made six starts on the season working 35.2 innings. He has allowed ten earned runs on eighteeen hits during the campaign. He has struck out 53 and walked just seven. Opponents are hitting .148 against him.
LSU has annoucned that RHP Anthony Eyanson (3-0, 4.50 ERA) will counter. Eyanson has also made six starts on the year. He has worked 32 innings allowing 16 earned runs on 27 hits. In SEC play, he has found the going a little more difficult. On the season, the former UC-San Diego product has struck out 46 and walked eight. Opponents have hit just .227 against him. Eyanson has allowed just one home run on the season and just six in his three-year college career.
