National Park Jaunt & Boat Ride

Informative and relaxing boat ride. Very nice jaunt with friendly guide who was knowledgeable about history of the local area.

We were only able to the jaunting car because the lake was too rough but it was great. Our driver Michael was great fun and we loved our horse Gonzo.

The combination tour is probably a bit pricier paying up front vs paying in person but it was nice. The jaunting car trip was pretty short (just 25 mins) although the boat ride was an hour long. One word of caution…make sure you tell your cab driver to go all the way to the castle car park. Ours dropped us off 1/2 mile short…lovely walk but we were almost late.

Great tour. Our 8 year old grandsons were not impressed with the boat tour but they loved the horse and jauntying car. Both guides were very good. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

The boat ride captain was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. The jaunting car driver was quite personable but really it was more of ride in the park than an actual informational ride

Jaunting car was a great experience, our driver was great craic and his horse Jimmy did an amazing job. Driver pointed out all the places of interest in Killarney national park, giving us the history as well as some funny stories. Also told us all about Jimmy and his favourite tipple…. a pint of Guinness every day!! It was fascinating to see the tame deer roam free throughout the park, but we were delighted when a fawn came close to the jaunting car giving lots of opportunity for pictures. Trip took about 45 minutes. Next was a boat trip on the lake, don’t know the name of the skipper but he was fantastic, told us the history of the area and pointed out places of interest. Also allowed the children to take turns steering the boat, which was a lovely idea. Boat trip took 1 hour. Loved both activities, would recommend 100%. If you are looking for a relaxing few hours with a bit of Irish craic thrown in then this is for you. Tip… book before you go, saves time queuing and you have your choice of seats on boat.

Absolutely brilliant the tour guides where extremely knowledgable and friendly on the jaunting car we had Micheal who was a great laughs and Bobby up front pulling us along the cruise was fantastic would highly recommend this to anyone.

On the Jaunting carts my 2 boys got to take the horses reins and they loved it, also on the boat they were allowed to steer the wheel, both experiences they won’t forget thanks 😊

We booked the Jaunting Car and boat trip with viator. Really enjoyed both. We were at the Ross Hotel instead of the Ross Castle to start out trip and 1 of the drivers quickly got us picked up there. So helpful and efficient. Our driver Eoin on the jaunting car was fantastic. Very informative and funny. Recommend this trip definitely. Great views on the lakes. Lovely to hear the history while enjoying the fabulous scenery.

This was certainly a top holiday highlight of our year. The Jaunting car jarvey and Lily of Killarney operator were very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour from start to finish and great value for money. Our jaunter was so informative and friendly and the tour operator was excellent and met us off our horse and cart and the boat ride was amazing and the captain was excellent with his knowledge of the lakes and area. Would really recommend.

Killarney Jaunting Car/Lake Cruise

The jaunting car was the high light of the day we totally enjoyed the experience. We were very informed throughout the trip also shared jokes which had us all laughing. The Cruise of the lake was lovely it’s was very warm but each group got time to go out on the deck to enjoy the scenery and fresh air 😊 Woukd totally recommend this trip Killarney is s beautiful place with so much to do and see 😊

Jaunting car tour guide was a gent (Micheal) very accomadatng. Had car trouble and was put in 2nd tour without any hassle.
